Well today being a new day, I must tell you about a little city that I visited weeks ago called Staufen(pronounced Shht-ow-fin), this city was so beautiful, bordering the Black Forest where it was filled with abandoned castle remnants and fields of grape trees. Unfortunately, twelve years ago, the City of Staufen decided on doing some drilling in the ground which has caused the ground to expand where many buildings are now cracked and suffering because of these events. Although Staufen may not be in it's best shape for the time being, Staufen is a quant German city, with only 7,600 inhabitants, that I would recommend to anyone in the Baden-Wurtemburg region of Germany to visit for some delicious sweet-treats and German Markets. Check out some photos from the trip. Bisous and see you soon, xx.

Frohe Weinachten(Gestern)! Merry Christmas, Yesterday!
Weinachten gestern, war sehr komisch...Christmas yesterday was so strange. It's typical here in Germany that people often celebrate the bulk of the Holidays on Christmas Eve, where in the States we celebrate mainly on Christmas Day. Yesterday had no Christmas carols, no Christmas Trees or lights, but it actually wasn't a sad state of affairs, just different...and peaceful. A new American friend and I made our way to a bar in the city centre called Schlappen, where we had a beer and made our way home, and I made my way to bed shortly after! Although my day was rather uneventful, I hope everyone had a lovely holiday, hopefully spent with those they love.

freiburg, Germany!
ƒreiburg, Germany is forever filled with endless possibilities on what you would like to do with your day. Over the past week, I was able to attend an incredible jazz concert with some girlfriends, Grace and Maria, attend our Goethe-Institut Weinachten(Christmas)Party, and wander the city to observe fresh, new sights. School is no longer in session for the next two weeks since we will all have a break to celebrate the holidays, but I will be studying the German language immensely over this timeframe! The past decade of Christmas' have been spent with my family members, so this one is going to be slightly out of the ordinary(foreign country, total strangers, no formal Christmas meal=slightly abnormal, ha!)...but I will embrace it and potentially make some new, German traditions! Oh how I love it here. Here are some more local, Freiburg City photos for you to enjoy. Tschüss, Bisous!

ƒreiburg, Germany!
Hello my friends!!! I really haven't kept up this blog the way that I had promised. Es tut mir lied(My apologies, auf Deutsch)! Well, I am in Germany, Freiburg, Germany to be exact! Freiburg is in the SW Part of Germany, located in the State of Baden-Württemberg and it's absolutely breath-taking as it borders the Black Forest with forest-covered rolling hills and streams. This is the region of the world where Kuckoo Clocks originated from...you know those incredibly beautiful yet annoying, singing clocks? I'm serious here. When I was growing up, one year my parents found a Cuckoo Clock and brought it home after a trip to Germany, where they decided to hang it immediately outside of my bedroom. So, for the next six months, I wanted to punch the cute little singing bird in it's cute little Cuckoo house, off of the wall. Thirteen years later, this beautiful device hangs on my wall. Anywho, I am in Germany for some language courses of which I will be doing until the beginning of February. So far, I love it. It has really put perspective on where I live and how small we are(of course). Living permanently in the States, we reluctantly still get treatment often times that we're the only country in the world, therefore the most important, which isn't true...we are one(yeah, I'm a hippie deal with it), but in this part of Germany, life moves in a more down-to earth, peaceful way and I've been able to recognize the togetherness between fellow Countrymen, as well. It's funny that upon traveling, we all have our stereotypes set and misconceptions but it's a beautiful thing when you're able to break down those walls and learn a thing or two about a different culture. Before leaving for Deutschland, I constantly was preparing myself with articles about 'How to survive in Germany', 'How Germans differ from those from the USA'...like...stfu. It's great to get perspective from people that have experienced other cultures but their experience will inevitably be different than yours...and embrace that. Ich habe viel Fotos to show you all! Next...will be details on a city called Staufen, Germany. Enjoy the photos und Schönen Tag!

RedRocks//
Hello loves. Happy November! Hope all has been well. Today has been a day full of Buffalo Exchange work, where I'm currently having a pumpkin beer while reminiscing on the beautiful Red Rocks in Tempe, Arizona. The Red Rocks are a beautiful mountain expanse and I was able to catch just a snap shot with a friend. If you're ever in Phoenix, Arizona, the Red Rocks aren't very far at all, you can find yourself lost in their beauty but you'll also be able to drop by the local Botanical Gardens close by, as well. Though it's not chilly here quite yet, it's finally cooling down, slowly but surely. Enjoy the Fall Colours for us Phoenicians, please! Bisous and thanks for dropping by.
